Our Village

My parents are settled in metro city, with many struggle in their life.
For us it was like a easy bread living. Annually in our summer vacation we used to go our
native place, where greenery and life was near to nature.

Travelling to our native was like a single State Transport bus, which was doing only one roundtrip in a day.
Roads were like Ghats. Those days when we hardly had any sort of entertainment like TV
(Even electricity) for more intervals.

Life there was slow with peace, but granny had good storage of grain in our house.
I wondered many times from where they got it. As markets and all are at very remote places.
Once I asked dad about this and how grandparents live here? He did not answered but smiled and
took me into our farms.

He explained me the whole process of cropping. All things we getting from the grocery stores, fruit stall all comes from the earth ... our farms. People in villages do farming and earn their necessary things to live. Also nature provide them many source to earn money , like selling of Bamboo.

He added one more line; villagers are closer to nature. Which feeds and cares them.
In metros we are far from those caring hands.

  1. nice :) Yeah... they indeed live real and simple life with simple needs and are blessed because of those 'caring hands'.

All the best for the contest :)
